Ice carving story

I started snow and ice carving in 2022 after volunteering to help out at the Alaska World Ice Art Championship. Some of the carvers had learned that I liked to draw and paint so they encouraged me to try carving. Having never carved anything in my life I nervously accepted the challenge. The carvers at the park gave me guidance step by step showing me the proverbial ropes. After completing my first ice sculpture I was hooked then I made my first snow sculpture and was sure this would become a new passion. Here i am now 3 seasons later and I'm always improving.
